1. You must subscribe to a PRO (Performing Rights Organization) like BMI, ASCAP, Harry Fox, etc. This is where you will register all of your song to prove ownership. This is also where you specify ownership by entering a royalty split. If you wrote the song and produced the song all by yourself, you would normally enter you own 100% (at BMI your would enter 200%). Don't ask me why they do it that way. These are the entities that keep track of your plays and pay you the royalties that are due to you on a quarterly basis.
2. When you upload a song to us, you will enter your PRO and your royalty split.
