Question Asked: Aside from the membership options and the percentage of an upfront sync fee when a placement is successfully negotiated, are there any additional submission, administrative, licensing, or other fees that a songwriter should be aware of?
Answer to Question: We do not charge a percentage of an upfront sync fee???? The sync fees are paid by the buyer. Besides the monthly fee for the paid plans we offer, we charge an 18% commission on the total amount of the contract, negotiated with the buyer. This is to offset our cost of executing the contract. The songwriter or owner of the song itself plays a large part in the negotiation of the contract.
